Romantic Liberalism article published in the Historical Journal (June 2015)

I am very pleased to report that my article "Romantic Liberalism in Spain and Portugal, c. 1825-1850" has been published in the Historical Journal (June 2015). This article is a revised and expanded version of my 2013 Balzan-Skinner Lecture at the University of Cambridge. Here is a pdf of the article.

The Spanish Enlightenment Revisited

I am delighted to report that my essay on the reform of the Spanish empire in the 18th century has been published in the new book edited by Prof. Jesus Astigarraga (Zaragoza) and published by the Voltaire Foundation (Oxford).
